  Sticky, greasy breakfast table. Animal heads hanging over the table, raining strands of hair into your food. Broken bed. Indifferent staff. Humping neighbours. The very real fear of rats. Inhumane wc facilities.
  
  This was in 2011. It might have changed.
  It sure does have character - you sure think you're taken back 300 years.

  Looking at the exterior of The Drovers you'd wonder if it is open, outside looks aren't it strong point, but beauty is only skin deep on this fine old establishment. Walking into the Pub you feel like you are going back in time, and I mean this in a good way, a roaring fire adds to the feel of the place. I ordered the Chicken Burger with cheese and bacon, served up in good time, lovely piece of chicken, piping hot, well cooked, the bacon was superb, thick with minimal fat, only slight minus point was the chips could have been a bit crispier. My partner went for a Scottish favourite, Mince and Tatties which she said was delicious too.
